Bathroom Graffiti ( The First Ever Wiki )
If there is one thing that really gripes me while sitting on a public john, it is bathroom stall graffiti. Unfortunately the people who write on the bathroom walls have to be the most uncreative obscene people in the entire world. For some strange reason these individuals associate taking a dump with a great time to pull out their pen and express their opinion. Bathroom stall graffiti has to be the first form of a WIKI. You can read about WIKI’s here. Bathroom WIKI’s start by the first loser adding a thought, then the next person adds to, modifies, or deletes. Over time you have one pathetic conglomeration of random obsenities. And thus the first WIKI. The crazy thing is, I feel compelled to read it.
I recently started to think about the kind of people that actually right on bathroom walls. Thats when I decided that the majority of Bathroom Graffiti is created and maintained by upstanding business men. They are the only people I know that have a pen or pencil even while taking a crap. More than likely they sit there on the pot and come to the realization that the bathroom stall has created an ultimate form of privacy. An evil twisted grin comes across their face and out comes the business pen. Moments later they walk out of the stall like nothing ever happened maintaining their professional demeanor. It is just a hunch of mine. Who knows?
I will end with my all time favorite Bathroom Graffiti:
Here I sit in a Dark Green Vapor
Some dang fool done stole the paper
How much longer will I linger
Before I use my little finger
WOW, Isn’t that SICK??
Felix Uribe’s List of the Best 100 Websites in Computer and Information Security
I recently came across a credited list of the world’s top 100 websites in computer and information security. It is a great resource for security professionals or anyone else interested. It can be viewed at the following link (Google Rank of 6 BTW):
http://uribe100.com/index100.htm
The Uribe100 is no doubt one of the most accurate list of the top security websites. In fact, it has been credited by the Computer Security Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). You can view that here.
The last great thing about the Uribe100 is that they just added e-Liberty.org to the list under Federal and Private Resource Centers. It feels great to be the co-owner of a website that ranks in the top 100 of its kind in the world. We are listed right between CERT/CC and OWASP. Take a look for yourself.
YEEEEEHAAAA!! Vacation
Thats right folks! I had to give a genuine Kentucky YEEEEEHAAAA!!! in celebration of me going on vacation. Just finished my summer course. Things at work have settled. It is now time for me to veg out at my wife’s uncle’s lake house for a full week. Let it be known that DMAC does not exist for the next 9 days. CHEERS!
All work and website inquiries must be referred to the YANKEE. I shed a tear when my cohort in geek crime finally created his blog. Enjoy the Yankisms!
